Close your eyes and imagine that you have the best boss in the world.
Not just an OK boss, a great one. A leader who makes you feel important, cared for and valued. Someone who makes you happy to leap out of bed on a Monday morning and rush into work.
What are they like?
What do they do?
What do they say?
How do they treat you?
I’m guessing you are not citing their qualifications, years of experience or whether they are the office Word expert.

And you probably don’t care what your boss looks like, how old they are and whether their hobbies are cool or boring.
A great leader is someone who treats people well.
It’s as simple as that.
Great leaders treat their people like the superstars they are. I’ve had great bosses and terrible ones, and how a leader makes you feel influences how you work.
