At the best of times, being a leader can be challenging and more so during Covid, a massive disrupter to the workplace. Compared to the internet and the advent of personal computers, which were gradual changes in my working life, Covid has been an avalanche of change in less than a year.

People are stressed and overwhelmed all over the world, and mental health has taken a hit.

This report comes on the back of mounting evidence that the COVID-19 pandemic is having monumental effects on the mental health and wellbeing of populations worldwide. Jobs have disappeared, and many workplaces have undergone at least one restructure. Both myself and my partner were made redundant this year following Covid related cost-cutting. My daughter lost her part-time job in a café and has had to do her university work remotely.
