It’s true, honest!

A friend recently went on a coffee date, and it didn’t go well. She told me that she felt like giving up.

I told her not to. Never, never give up if you want something.

It took me over 100 coffee dates to meet my partner, and although I took many breaks and reviewed my dating strategy, I never gave up.

Looking back, I realized that some dating tips apply to leadership too:

Never give up

Whether it’s looking for your dream job, going for a promotion or finishing a project, if it’s worth doing, don’t give up.

Have a break, certainly.

Ask for help from people who’ve done what you want to do.

“You just never give up. You do a task to the best of your ability and beyond.” — Debbie Reynolds.

Find a mentor or coach.

Use Google, YouTube, Ted Talks, books, and podcasts for ideas on how to succeed.

But don’t give up.

Mindset

Mindset applies to many areas of life, work, hobbies, and relationships — it’s what you believe to be true about how you show up in a specific situation.
